The Fairmont Empress

Built in 1908, the Fairmont Empress has a long history as a luxury hotel in heart of downtown Victoria. Initially owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway Corporation, the Empress has undergone many refurbishments, leaving it as an icon of the city. The Empress will host many conference spaces and some delegate rooms for VIHSMUN 2027.

With 7, 150 square metres of conference space, the Victoria Conference Centre is connected to the Fairmont Empress, making it the ideal place to hold a Model United Nations Conference in Victoria. With a modern interior design and unprecedented artwork, the VCC will host many conference rooms for VIHSMUN 2027, including opening and closing ceremonies in the famous Carson Hall.

While VIHSMUN 2027's committees will not take place inside of the Marriott Inner Harbour, the hotel will house most of our overnight delegates. With modern and luxurious rooms, the hotel is located across the street from the Fairmont Empress and Victoria Conference Centre.
